Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Information Systems Security Officer, Colorado Springs Role and Position Objectives: As an Information Systems Security Officer, you will be part of a team providing cybersecurity support services to various mission partners in a cloud-based environment. This role involves leveraging your cybersecurity knowledge and skills, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), continuous monitoring, and hands-on cybersecurity tool use. Preferred skills and experiences include: System auditing and vulnerability management using tools like ACAS, Splunk, SCC Developing mitigation strategies for system security threats and risks Familiarity with the RMF process leading to a system’s Authority to Operate (ATO) Conducting system security assessments for authorization Developing and updating security assessment results and Plan of Action and Milestone (POAM) reports What sets you apart: Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity objectives such as RMF, STIGs, JSIG, and other security standards Ability to communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively Self-starter capable of working independently or in a team with minimal supervision Experience developing artifacts for system’s Body of Evidence for Assessment and Authorization Experience with Linux operating systems Our Commitment to You: Opportunities for continuous learning and development Flexible work schedules Competitive benefits including 401k matching, paid parental leave, healthcare, wellness programs, and more More details at gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits Workplace Options: This position requires being on-site 3-4 days per week. Salary Note This position's salary range is USD $121,363 - USD $134,638 per year, based on experience and location. The posting remains open until filled.
