Successful, profitable site in Belton, MO is seeking an EH&S Manager who will focus on further development and improvement of the safety program and driving a safety oriented culture plantwide. As the EH&S Manager, you will excel in coaching and mentoring your direct report and will oversee the site EH&S program. You will report to the Plant Manager and will have the following responsibilities:

• Monitor, improve and regulate the safety, health and environmental policies and processes for the plant
• Keep updated documentation related to safety policies and regulations
• Monitor and track all safety training within the company LMS
• Perform regular site inspections and audits for safety, health and environmental compliance
• Lead accident investigations
• Support and initiate improvements related to safety and environmental
• Communicate with and serve as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Lead BWC documentation and activities
• Show a presence on the manufacturing floor to drive the company's safety initiatives focused on Behavioral Based Safety Programs
• Continue to decrease the site's recordables and lost time accidents
• Assign and monitor safety training and ensure timely completion
• Deliver monthly town hall meetings across all shifts
• Participate in plant continuous improvement initiatives
• Other duties as directed by management

The company is seeking a candidate that enjoys spending up to 30-40% of their day on the manufacturing floor, leading a safety oriented culture. Candidates should be able to hold others accountable and challenge their peers, be hands-on, lead by example, coach and mentor their staff and infuse energy and excitement into the safety programs of the plant. REQUIREMENTS for the EH&S Manager:

1. Bachelor's degree, ideally in an EHS related field

2. At least five years of similar EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment

3. Strong safety background, with experience overseeing environmental functions as well

4. Experience being the point of contact for all regulatory agencies, EPA, OSHA, etc.

5. Experience performing safety audits

6. Experience overseeing the BWC process

7. Experience leading safety programs at sites of at least 100 people

8. Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:

1. Formal Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certifications

2. CSP or GSP certification

3. Experience with LMS (learning management systems)

4. Behavioral Based Safety Programs
